Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant - Azure & Security to lead and deliver complex cloud networking and security solutions for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and security architecture. You will leverage your consulting and technical expertise to design, implement, and secure cloud environments, as well as provide strategic guidance and technical leadership. This role will report to a Managing Principal Consultant.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant - Azure & Security to lead and deliver complex cloud networking and security solutions for enterprise clients. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and security architecture. You will leverage your consulting and technical expertise to design, implement, and secure cloud environments, as well as provide strategic guidance and technical leadership. This role will report to a Managing Principal Consultant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and optimize Azure solutions, including Firewalls (Azure), WAFs, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and Load Balancers.
- Architect and implement Azure security solutions, such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, and Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Provide technical leadership in cloud security best practices, Zero Trust architecture, and regulatory compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
- Manage client stakeholders and lead pre-sales activities with developing and presenting Proof of Concept to the clients.
- Participate in business development, including proposals, client presentations, and marketing events. Assist in creating new solution packages.
- Develop and enforce network segmentation and security policies for enterprise workloads.
- Lead customer engagements, conduct technical assessments, and develop cloud security strategies and roadmaps.
- Automate cloud security and networking tasks using Terraform, Ansible, or Bicep.
- Conduct risk assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud and security.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure security.
- Experience designing and implementing secure hybrid cloud solutions.
- Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Services, including Route Tables, UDRs, NSGs, Private Links, Traffic Managers, etc.
- Deep expertise in Azure Security Services, including Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Security Policies, Conditional Access and Privileged Identity Management (PIM).
- Certifications (Required or Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (Required)
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (Preferred)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (Preferred)
- CCSP, CCNA, or CCNP Security (Bonus)
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Zero Trust security principles.
- Experience with Active Directory, and Identity Protection.
- Hands-on expertise in Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, and Bicep for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, and XDR solutions, including Azure Sentinel.
- Experience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
