The Chinook School Division is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator beginning August 26, 2026. The Curriculum Instruction and Assessment (CIA) Coordinator is a team member responsible to the Superintendent of Learning for carrying out the Board’s educational objectives and management policies and overseeing curriculum, instruction, assessment, and staff needs in the Chinook School Division.

Duties:
The CIA Coordinator shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned including, but not restricted, to the following:
- Working directly with school administrators and their staffs on initiatives that are related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and their school goals
- Overseeing areas of specialty including the management of staff as well as the budgeting and purchasing process
- Reporting to their Superintendent on a regular basis about their involvement in schools
- In consultation with the Superintendents, work with school administrators and their staffs on initiatives that are related to curriculum and their school goals
- May be assigned work with schools outside the designated cluster in areas of specialty when the coordinator has unique experience, skills or expertise
- Responsible for leading initiatives in: assessment for learning, instruction, professional development, and for supporting curriculum implementation and teachers
- Promoting the vision, mission, principles and goals of the Chinook School Division
Required Qualifications:
- Sask. Professional A Teaching Certificate
- Proven experience at the High School/secondary level
- Strong knowledge of instructional pedagogy and effective assessment practises at the High School level
- Demonstrated ability to create and deliver professional development focused on curriculum, differentiated instruction and assessment
- Experience leading change related to inclusion and diversity
- Experience with constructivist and cooperative learning approaches to teaching and learning
- Experience with resource development and blended learning models
- Experience in the support of teachers implementing curriculum into instruction
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead the development and implementation of a school division strategic plan for professional learning communities
- Experience connecting learning communities
- Possess a valid driver’s license and own transportation
Assets Would Include:
- Background in English Language Arts and the Social Sciences
- Experience/understanding of Indigenous education
- Knowledge of, or experience in, Career Education
- Administrative experience
