About this opportunity:
Cenovus Energy Inc. is seeking for a Senior FDC Analyst within our Process Data Information Management & Measurement team. This role is pivotal in providing day-to-day business support for the Field Data Capture function, specifically for our Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil business. As a Senior FDC Analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring flawless data integrity and system optimization, which are crucial for our production data requirements.
Responsibilities include application configuration, master data modeling, troubleshooting data quality & integration, and providing end-user support. This hands-on role requires a motivated and organized individual with strong business insight, effective communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a critical-thinking attitude.
What you’ll do:
Provide comprehensive business support for the Field Data Capture function, focusing on production data requirements, application configuration, and data utilization for the Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil assets
Support robust data integrity by working closely with business collaborators to maintain and promote data quality standards, guaranteeing accuracy, consistency, and reliability across essential data assets
Troubleshoot and resolve data quality and reporting issues, ensuring flawless operations
Serve as a key systems resource on complex and critical issues, working towards the development of innovative solutions
Optimize the use of Field Data Capture applications (PM Suite, Energy Components, and Intricate FFVS) to provide the best available information
Maintain master file data in line with standard methodologies for regulatory volumetric compliance and accuracy; collaborate with Measurement, Production Engineering, Operations, and Operations Accounting
Facilitate Field Data Capture data analysis for internal decision-making, reporting, system integration, and consumption
Collaborate with various stakeholders to manage production data requirements efficiently
Liaise with Data & Information Technology resources to facilitate technical support requirements
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
10 years of upstream oil and gas production experience
Relevant post-secondary education: Technical diploma/degree and/or CAPPA certification preferred
Demonstrated dedication to client service and success in a team setting, collaborating with individuals from various teams and levels to meet goals and address issues.
Strong business insight with a strategic understanding of business processes
Expert knowledge in field operations and upstream accounting business processes and applications
Proficient understanding of regulatory requirements with respect to Provincial directives (AB & SK); DIR 17, DIR 60 (AB), DIR 36 (SK)
Proficient in the use of SQL, MS applications (Visio, Excel) and experience with Field Data Capture applications is mandatory
