We have an exciting opportunity on our day shift as a Truck Driver. Unlike other driving roles, this one is a standard shift, with no requirement to work outside standard day shift hours unless overtime is desired. We are a specialized weld shop dealing with high grade material looking for someone to join our team and help drive growth.

About the Position:

As a licensed Truck Driver you will be responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of goods. You will be tasked with driving and inspecting trucks that will be assigned to you, as well as working closely with our team of shipper/receivers in order to assist the shop with material handling needs as necessary. This will ensure we achieve the most efficient production schedules as possible.

Hours of Work:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) and 7:00am to 11:00am (Fridays)

40 Hours Per Week

What will you be doing:

• Perform a daily vehicle inspection before each use and document in the book provided. Any concerns/problems are to be reported to supervisor immediately.
• Operate portable communication devices.
• Operate, load and unload a vehicle and be responsible for vehicle and cargo safety.
• Check in with supervisor at the beginning of each shift to verify the plans for the day and at the end of each shift.
• Meet pick-up and delivery time schedules.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Perform other duties as required when trucking is slow (shipping/receiving).
• Use forklifts, cranes and hand tools when required. (Training and certification required).
• Possess and maintain a clean driving record and be an insurable driver and provide the required documentation.
• Lift items weighing up to 50lbs.
• Extended hours may be required from time to time.
• Observing safety regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
