A growing fabrication shop is currently hiring an 1 experienced Welding Supervisor to lead our day shift. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in welding and fitting, excellent leadership capabilities, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all day shift operations, including schedule and labour efficiency
- Supervise and support a team of welders, fitters, and general labour staff
- Read and interpret blueprints and ensure work is completed accurately and to spec
- Address employee issues including attendance, performance, and training
- Monitor job progress, budgets, and timelines; escalate issues as needed
- Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and procedures
- Train and develop staff, particularly in welding/fitting best practices
- Support quality control and initiate corrective actions when non-conformances arise
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations
- Operate shop equipment as needed (crane, forklift, etc.) following proper safety training
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments
