Job Summary:

The Assistant Service Manager will report directly to the Service Manager. They’ll be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and overseeing the Service Team. This position supports daily operations, including sales, follow-ups, and customer retention. Additionally, the Assistant Service Manager is accountable for meeting productivity and continuous improvement goals for Technicians. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with service experience to advance their career. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to maintain a high level of organization in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications:

• Preferred minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Consultant

• Proven experience in delivering exceptional customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment

• Strong technical knowledge and extensive practical experience in equipment repairs

• Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment where teamwork is essential

• Desire to advance within the Automotive/Industrial Equipment/Maintenance

• High attention to detail with proven people management and organizational skills

• Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

• Comfortable use of technology for daily tasks (Microsoft Programs, Sage, CRM, etc.)

• Experience with preparing and processing daily customer invoices with accuracy and attention to detail

• Manage payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and confidentiality

• Coordinating and managing technicians’ daily schedules

• Responsible for managing out-of-town jobs, ensuring all travel, lodging and equipment are arranged efficiently.

• Ability to track and improve technician efficiency by monitoring job completion times against quoted estimates

• Proven leadership skills and ability to successfully mentor team members

• Experience in developing and overseeing monthly budgets and strategic plans for service operations

• Exceptional communication skills (in person, on the phone, via email, and in writing)

• Clear credit and criminal record check

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to work
