Description
The Team:
The team at BC Parks is dedicated to the hands-on stewardship and protection of some of British Columbia’s most remote and pristine natural and cultural landscapes. Staff work in challenging field conditions to monitor, maintain, and safeguard parks, ecological reserves, and protected areas, often far from built infrastructure. With a strong sense of responsibility and respect for these spaces, their work helps preserve the integrity and wild character of these landscapes. The focus is on keeping these areas as undisturbed as possible, while ensuring they can be experienced and enjoyed without compromising their long-term protection.
The Role:
As Area Supervisor Cape Scott, you will be at the heart of operations, leading in a rugged, ever-changing park environment where no two days are the same. This role combines hands-on fieldwork, program delivery, and team leadership, with a focus on practical decision-making and strong visitor support. It calls for someone who can navigate challenges with confidence, adapt to shifting conditions, and resolve issues with a steady, solutions-focused approach. Your strong foundation in resource management ensures BC Parks’ programs run smoothly and continue to have a positive and meaningful impact across the Cape Scott Area.
