Its mission is to provide quality, innovative agricultural risk management products and services that help farms and farm organizations proactively manage uncertainty through the delivery of production insurance, income stabilization and wildlife damage compensation programs. This position is responsible for BRM program delivery and works directly with agriculture producers. The primary focus of the position is customer service, specifically providing information and assistance to ensure timely, accurate and complete information. This position is the key liaison between local producers and other BRM support staff. Job Requirements: Master's degree in business, agricultural science or related field and a minimum of one (1) year current, progressive and *related experience; OR, Bachelors degree in business, agricultural science or related field and a minimum of three (3) years current, progressive and *related experience; OR, A technical diploma in business, agricultural science or related field and a minimum of five (5) years current, progressive and *related experience; OR, An equivalent combination of education and current, progressive and *related experience (minimum seven (7) years) may be considered. *Related experience may include the following: Direct farming experience. Experience with agricultural production or consultation. Experience in insurance or sales. Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following: Agricultural berry, vegetable, and grape related experience. Agricultural business risk management program related experience. Provisos/Willingness Statements: A valid Class 5 B.C. drivers license or Canadian equivalent is required. Field work is part of this role which may include travel and outdoor work in all weather conditions with the potential for wildlife overlap.
