Job Summary

The Team
Mental health clinicians hired to the Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) float team in the eastern Fraser Valley provide backfill counselling services for community CYMH and Indigenous CYMH teams in the eastern Fraser Valley. The float team headquarters is in Chilliwack and supports CYMH work across the region.

Our CYMH teams are comprised of master’s-level clinicians, outreach support workers, and supportive team leaders. We work alongside school districts, health partners, and Indigenous service providers to offer responsive and integrated care for children and youth experiencing mental health challenges. We provide regular opportunities for training and clinical discussions, empowering each team member to grow in their practice. Join us in our shared mission to foster wellness in communities across our region through collaboration and mutual respect.

The Role
As a CYMH Clinician on our team, you’ll provide direct clinical services including intake services, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety planning, and crisis intervention for ages 0-18. You will work closely with team members, community agencies, schools, hospitals, and other ministry programs to provide comprehensive care, including individual, group and family therapy for children, youth, and families. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and passionate team to make a meaningful positive difference in the lives of children, youth, and their families facing emotional and behavioral challenges. This role is ideal for those who value meaningful client relationships, teamwork, and lifelong learning. To learn more about the role and what it’s like to be part of our CYMH teams, we invite you to watch our short Child and Youth Mental Health video.
