Job Summary

The Team
HealthLink BC (HLBC) bridges the gap before, between, and after in-person community services to best support the patient in the optimization of their health; and health care providers in their aim to achieve the highest clinical outcome for their patients. This organization is designed to support the citizens of British Columbia and the Yukon, both unattached and attached, by providing access to timely health information and services within the broader, complex health system. HealthLink BC is integral to delivering digital and virtual health services across British Columbia and the Yukon, enhancing patient attachment and access to high-quality, culturally safe episodic care.

The Role
The Health Services Navigators provide health information, referral, registration support and care escalation to patients of the 24/7/365 8-1-1 Operations Virtual Health Services.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience delivering a high standard of client service in a high volume, fast paced, rapid changing environment.
  • Experience / training in word processing, spreadsheet and other standard computer applications.


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience within a healthcare or emergency response setting.


Willingness statement:

  • Ability to work specific types of shifts, shift patterns, or shift lengths that may range from 7-10 hours.
  • Ability to work in multi-sited office.
  • Ability to work shifts that may include days, evenings, and weekends in order to support a 24 hour / 7 day per week contact center environment.
  • Ability to work in an environment where schedules are subject to review and change on a yearly basis to assure operational needs are met.
  • Ability to work statutory holidays.
