The Team
At the Compliance Division, the Independent Gambling Control Office is home to a dynamic team. We value
the unique perspectives each member brings, contributing to a collaborative environment that plays a crucial role in
maintaining fairness in horse racing across B.C.
The Role
To provide a variety of office administrative, secretarial, and financial support services for the program and coordinate the day-to-day priorities of the director/manager/judges/stewards/inspectors/division veterinarian, including providing liaison with ministry executive offices. This position processes all new license applications or renewals and responds to inquiries from government staff, public, licensing applicants and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Experience working in an office setting.
- Experience with word processing and database applications (i.e., Microsoft Office).
- Experience providing client service.
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience working with multicultural organizations and/or communities.
Provisos /Willingness statements
- In person attendance at the track.
- Hours of work vary and may include shifts between 5 to 10 hours in length, during weekdays, and/or evenings and weekends (including Statutory Holidays), dependent on seasonal live racing schedules and operational requirements.

About this Position:
There is one (1) seasonal part-time position available in Osoyoos.
This is a temporary opportunity until December 18, 2026.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
