Grimshaw Public School is an exciting and dynamic school located in the town of Grimshaw, 20 kms west of Peace River. The school serves students from grades K-12. A strong academic program and a full range of athletic programs, supported by the addition of a new community recreation multiplex center, are offered to the Grimshaw Public School students.
Applications are invited for a team leader with proven leadership expertise and experience and the required skills to support an effective team approach with staff, students, parents and the community.
Desired Qualifications:
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team-work skills,
A commitment to team leadership and collaborative educational communities,
A strong knowledge of both primary and secondary curriculum and research-based instructional practices,
Excellent communications skills with students, staff, and parents,
Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and community members to ensure success of all students,
Ability to enable and coordinate an inclusive learning environment,
Ability to lead the school in extracurricular activities and athletics,
A strong background and experience in literacy, numeracy, and inclusive learning would be considered an asset.
Requirements:
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Please note, record check must be less than six (6) months old to date of application of your application.
This position will include teaching duties. Graduate studies in educational administration are definite assets for success in this role.

Learning Together - Success for All
This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division.
Annual Salary Range:
$ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers Association and the Peace River School Division), plus 50% of the basic Principal's allowance as outlined in Article 4 of the collective agreement.
