Clearview Public Schools is an inclusive public education system offering a comprehensive range of programs to serve the learning needs of approximately 2,380 Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 students in and around the communities of east central Alberta. Clearview encompasses the Town of Stettler, County of Stettler, and the County of Paintearth. Our schools are located in Big Valley, Botha, Brownfield, Byemoor, Castor, Coronation, Donalda, Erskine and Stettler. Clearview supports student learning at 23 school sites, including 10 Hutterite colony schools.
The OT is an active member of the student services team, providing consultative and collaborative services for students from Early Learning to Grade 12. Following an inclusion model of service, the OT provides consultation and a continuum of support to the educator for classroom-based instruction, assessment, and learning. The OT will provide student specific assessment and programming through the division’s referral process. Reporting to the Director of Inclusive Services, the OT will support and promote the success of all students as part of multidisciplinary teams across the school division.
The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor’s degree and at least five years’ related experience and be registered with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). Knowledge of health issues caused by cognitive, behavioural and developmental concerns for children are required. Experience working with early learning and school-aged population is also required. Advanced communication and collaboration skills will be considered an asset.
