Description
If you know one thing, it’s numbers. You also get that a lot of people don’t, and have developed a way of talking to others that meets them on their level. Whether it’s colleagues in accounting and payroll, other departments, employees or executives - you can take the numbers, rules, and exceptions, and make them understood by the layperson. A leader and an excellent communicator, you can effectively collaborate up, down, and across the organization and build strong working relationships that promote cooperation both inside and outside your team. Alberta Health Services is seeking an experienced payroll professional for the role of Team Lead, Payroll Operations. This individual must be highly knowledgeable about payroll processes, software, and legal requirements, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt those plans as situations arise. You can stay calm and work well under pressure, and can help your team effectively deal with high volume, disruptions, or even curveballs - and still meet key dates and deadlines without missing a beat. You are organized and meticulous in your work. While you pride yourself on accuracy and correctness, you can easily spot and correct any discrepancies. You are aware of and stay up-to-date with the rules, regulations, and best practices in the industry and have experience administering payroll in a large, complex organization. You know and are comfortable with payroll software, including PeopleSoft. If you combine number skills, people skills and leadership skills, you’re the person we’re looking for. Apply today, and grow your career with AHS.
