Our team supports more than 40 hospitals, home care, public health, and continuing care centres across the Calgary Zone by providing warehousing and distribution services, with a strong focus on order picking, replenishment, and outbound shipping. Working closely with on-site clinical teams, we ensure the accurate and timely picking of supplies so essential items are readily available, stock levels are maintained, and patient care is not delayed. As a Stores I - Warehouse, your primary responsibility will be warehouse order picking and material handling to support daily operations. You will accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment, replenish supply locations, and receive incoming goods as required. You will maintain accurate manual and electronic inventory records, ensure orders are completed efficiently and correctly, and support dock and shipping activities. You will also maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, communicate effectively with customers and internal departments, and comply with established procedures, policies, and quality service standards.

As a Stores I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks associated with the picking, packaging, shipping and receiving of orders for hospital supplies, equipment and/or food in accordance with AHS guidelines and standards. You will process incoming requisitions and distribute supplies, complete cart audits for quality assurance and communicates frequently with stakeholders to ensure appropriate and correct quantity of supplies are available. In addition, you will track and report on inventory to ensure over stocking does not occur.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy wheeled carts up to and occasionally exceeding 275 Kgs. Must be capable of walking and or standing for long periods of time. Must regularly use hand and arms to reach, lift, and carry heavy items up to 25 kg.

Recent experience in warehouse order picking, shipping, receiving, and material handling, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English fluently. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Certification in the operation of warehouse powered mobile equipment is considered an asset.
