Service Worker II

This is a physically demanding role with transportation of medical equipment as the primary task. It will require standing for long periods of time. This position will primarily take place in the Endoscopy unit, with various interactions with patients, doctors, nurses, and other support service staff.

As a Service Worker II, you will be responsible for readying supplies, and cleaning/disinfecting instruments and specialty equipment for immediate use/reuse by healthcare staff. You will distribute and replenish patient care supplies, perform quality control tests on equipment and record maintenance data. You may also transport patients (clients/residents), equipment, lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required. In addition, you will ensure that patient care areas and other assigned areas are accurately stocked and that specialty equipment required by the healthcare staff is available.

Grade 12 or equivalent.

As Required.

Recent endoscopy experience and/or work environment will be considered an asset.
