Service Worker I

This Service Worker I position provides support to a very busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at Chinook Regional Hospital (CRH). The primary function of this position is to transport patients in the hospital to and from their Diagnostic Imaging examinations. Maintaining clean, organized patient environments and ensuring clinical supplies are consistently monitored, replenished, and ready for our medical teams will also fall under your responsibility. As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts. You will report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers and perform other duties as required.

Grade 12 or equivalent.

Previous experience working or volunteering within a clinical healthcare setting.

Direct exposure to Diagnostic Imaging workflows, terminology, and equipment transport safety preferred. Direct experience as a Tech Aid or Service Worker within an acute care hospital setting.
