As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making, as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values. PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification. Experience in the last year with acute and/or emergency care, wound care, IV initiation, and medication administration. The place of work is in a community designated for Canada Student Loan forgiveness as outlined in https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/education/student-aid/grants-loans/repay/assistance/doctors-nurses/amount.html. You may be eligible for Canada Student Loan forgiveness if you meet other eligibility requirements.

Connect Care (Rural Nurse). Labour and Delivery and post-partum experience or willingness to train is a must. Experience or training in palliative care is beneficial, charge nurse experience and previous work as an RN in a rural setting. The following is also preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, training in LEAD II.
