This Public Health Inspector III - EADCT Coordinator position has advanced professional and technical expertise in public health, epidemiology, environmental public health, research and electronic information systems. This position assumes a leadership role in the investigation and control of enteric, zoonotic, environmentally associated diseases, outbreaks and suspected food borne illness investigations, with strong collaboration and integration with Safe Healthy Environments (SHE). This position oversees the collection of epidemiological data, completes data analysis, as well as interpretation and dissemination of all enteric, zoonotic, environmentally associated and suspect food borne illness data for the EADCT program provincially.

As a Public Health Inspector III and appointed Executive Officer under the authority of the Public Health Act, you will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive environmental public health program. As a Public Health Inspector III, you will have advanced professional and technical expertise with professional standing in environmental public health/public health epidemiology, engineers, scientific research or electronic information systems. As a Public Health Inspector III, you will be in a leadership role, in charge of the day-to-day operations of a major environmental public health program. As a PHI III, you will be in a leadership role, in charge of the day-to-day operations of a major environmental public health program. The PHI III may provide a provincial leadership role in the development of program planning, and/or lead or coordinate the response for complex file in the core topics areas.

Completion of bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or in a related field of study plus a recognized Environmental Health technical program. Completion of certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada). Active Member in Good Standing with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI).

5 years’ experience working in an Environmental Public Health Program.

Completion of Master’s Degree in Environmental Public Health or related field.
