Description
The FMC Nuclear Cardiology department is responsible for providing high quality services and is committed to excellence in care. We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist, who is detail-driven, thrives in a collaborative environment, and provides safe, patient-centered care. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. As a NMT I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) I, you will be responsible for performing a variety of nuclear medicine procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. As a NMT I, you will perform Nuclear Medicine procedures as described in the department procedure manual using a wide range of equipment such as gamma cameras, computers, ECG monitors, cardiac stress equipment, and radiation safety devices.
Completion of diploma from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) Program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
Minimum of two (2) years clinical experience in Nuclear Medicine. Current CT and Contrast Media Enhanced practice designation with ACMDTT. Current BLS certification. Physically capable of performing duties of the role, including the ability walk/stand for extended periods, perform repetitive movements, bend, reach, push, and pull equipment.
CT Imaging Certification (CTIC) preferred. Minimum one year of experience in Nuclear Cardiology imaging, including MUGA, myocardial perfusion, and viability studies, and one year in Cardiac/Coronary CT angiography. Advanced proficiency with Health and Radiation Information Systems (HIS/RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communications Systems (PACS), including Provincial Enterprise Imaging. Advanced knowledge in Connect Care is required; Connect Care Cupid experience preferred.
