This position is responsible for providing and performing the highest quality service possible, to the clients of Diagnostic Imaging Services during Interventional Radiology Procedures. This is done in an effective, efficient and safe manner. As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging team, this position is responsible for working all shifts and on-call, as assigned. The SHC has four key pillars of service: Collaborative Practice, Wellness, Patient and Family Centered Care, and Innovation. These pillars are guiding the development and delivery of service of to all patients and families at SHC.

As a Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) II, you will perform specialized technical radiological imaging examinations on patients for the purpose of disease and pathology diagnosis. You may perform specialized diagnostic imaging procedures for Physician/Radiologist review, interpret physician requisitions and assist with the care and maintenance of imaging equipment.

Completion of diploma from an accredited Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Member in good standing and current registration/eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships/teams. Strong organizational skills and ability to assume responsibility. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively liaison with various professionals. Perception, initiative, accountability, good judgment and concern for detail and accuracy Ability to demonstrate tact and courtesy in dealing with patients, staff and physicians Ability to work under pressure and in emergency situations Ability to effectively communicate Practices effective radiation protection, infection control and safety techniques as applicable Previous Interventional Radiology Experience

Continuing Education Courses related to Interventional Radiology IV Certification.
