Maintenance Worker II

This position is to provide maintenance support for our mobile overdose prevention site. The successful candidate will be comfortable towing a large trailer with a 3-ton truck. Mechanical, hydraulic and HVAC experience is considered an asset. Work hours will be 3:00 am to 8:30 am. Must be able to work outdoors during inclement weather for short periods of time.

As a Maintenance Worker II, you may perform routine preventative and demand maintenance activities within the exterior and interior of the building. Under general supervision, you may perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on facility architectural, structural and mechanical systems/components to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment. You may perform a wide range of general maintenance duties including maintenance and repair of drywall, floors and painting. Additional duties may include minor plumbing repair; minor repairs on equipment; checks on equipment for pressure and temperature; and disassembly of equipment for cleaning.

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence. Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.
