If you're looking for a healthier balance between work and life, Athabasca could be just the place. This friendly town, about 90 minutes north of Edmonton, is surrounded by forests and rivers, with plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors. The cost of living is reasonable, and the community is close-knit, with local events, farmers’ markets, and access to Athabasca University. We’re looking for an LPN to join our team - someone who’s eager to contribute, learn, and grow. Prior experience in Acute Care, or Med-Surg is an asset. You’ll work to your full scope - providing hands-on care, supporting patients, and contributing to a team that values respect, accountability, and collaboration. The hospital offers a supportive environment, and the town genuinely appreciates its healthcare professionals. If you’re ready for meaningful work in a rural setting, Athabasca is ready to welcome you.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
