This position will be part of Primary Care Alberta effective November 18, 2024. Located just 40 minutes North of Lethbridge Alberta, Picture Butte is a vibrant community seeking an LPN to support the new Ambulatory after hours clinic. The Ambulatory Clinic will operate Monday through Sunday, 5 hours per day. This position will report to an AHS Operations Site Manager and support the Physician team in responding to walk in access for individuals and families in the Picture Butte area. The ideal candidate will use their full scope of LPN practice to assess, monitor and carry out treatment/care in collaboration with the Physician team.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

3 years' experience in an Ambulatory or Emergency department. Demonstrated excellence in patient assessment and integration of primary health principles. Demonstrated organizational and priority setting in a clinical setting. Demonstrated excellence using computer systems to support care (Netcare, meditech, Precision Labs).

Connect Care/EPIC training and experience. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to deliver health promotion information. Demonstrated patient and family healthcare teaching-focused on follow up and prevention. Demonstrated experience in clinic coordination.
