Description
You’re a team-oriented, efficient, and critical thinker who puts the patient first. Working in long term care brings its own set of unique challenges and rewards. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you’ll be a critical part of the healthcare team as you support patients, families, and other health professionals, adapt to changes in patient needs, and help uphold the personhood and dignity of the people you care for. Wainwright Continuing Care is located in a rural setting where the LPN works within an interdisciplinary team environment, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the needs of the patient/clients. The Town of Wainwright, rated one of the most affordable communities twice in past Alberta-wide surveys, is a peaceful prairie home to about 6,200 people. The community and area, known for being home to the Canadian Forces Base Wainwright and their excellent hunting locations, offer a unique country lifestyle with urban amenities all within a two-hour drive from Edmonton. Assisted Living Alberta (ALA) provides Albertans with the support they need through a comprehensive assisted living system that offers a full range of services, including medical and non-medical supports, continuing care homes, home care, community care, and social services. ALA is focused on delivering care more effectively and consistently across the province by enhancing home and community services, expediting access to supportive living environments and continuing care homes, and ensuring Albertans and their caregivers are well-informed.
