Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fit Test Student to assist our Workplace Health and Safety Team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to travel independently to various sites within a designated area to conduct respiratory fit tests and complete accurate data entry for fit testing results. Additional support for other projects and tasks will be required. Comprehensive training in Respiratory Fit Testing Protocol will be provided. The Fit Test Student will independently travel to designated sites to conduct respiratory fit tests, following the established Respiratory Fit Testing Protocol. The role involves accurately recording and entering data from fit tests into the appropriate systems, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of all information. The individual will maintain a clear and organized log of completed tests, noting any issues encountered. Additionally, the student will support the Workplace Health and Safety Team with other tasks and projects as assigned and ensure that all equipment used for fit testing is properly maintained and functioning. Providing excellent customer service is essential, including answering any questions from employees at various sites regarding the fit testing process. The student will also participate in training sessions related to respiratory fit testing and workplace safety procedures.
Minimum of Grade 12, currently enrolled in post-secondary program (Occupational Health and Safety, Biological Sciences, Nursing or another Health-Related Program would be an asset). A valid driver’s license. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and testing processes. Ability to travel independently within designated regions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently. Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude toward all tasks and projects. Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficient in various computer applications including word processing, data entry and e-mail.
