This position provides general administrative support to the Hospital Medical Leader at the Red Deer Regional Hospital by performing a variety of duties within the office using established procedures, routines and precedents where there is some requirement for judgment in the application of guidelines. Decisions are generally routine and involve setting priorities and determining the most efficient process for completing assigned work. This position may be required to support a wide variety of stakeholders due to the various requirements of the different leadership positions supported. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing routine administrative support , including electronic filing of department records. Maintenance and entry of database information. Processing routine department paperwork and documents. Preparing meeting agendas and minutes as needed. Administrative support to specific functional areas within the department on an as needed basis.

As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Some post-secondary education.

Post secondary education in Administrative Support is required with at least five years of progressively responsible Administrative Support experience, along with two years of experience supporting physicians. Must be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of programs. As part of the hybrid work arrangement, at least two workdays per week are required to be onsite at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.

Specific training in Medical Office Administration is preferred. Experience supporting Medical Leaders is preferred. Previous Medical Affairs experience is an asset.
