Description
Do you excel in roles where your expertise ensures seamless support for front-line healthcare teams? The UAH/MAHI Respiratory Therapy Department is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Staffing Liaison to manage scheduling, staffing, and timekeeping in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will work independently within established guidelines while collaborating closely with Respiratory Therapy Managers, Charge Respiratory Therapists, and the Staffing Service Center (SSC) to address both short- and long-term staffing needs. Key Responsibilities include coordinating contract-compliant staffing coverage, processing shift swaps and time-off requests, reviewing timecards, resolving payroll discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records. You will also prepare staffing reports, daily flowsheets, analyze trends and provide actionable insights. You will be responsible for other administrative duties and cross-coverage as needed. This role requires sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and the foresight to anticipate staffing challenges while delivering effective, proactive solutions. We are seeking an individual with advanced administrative expertise, exceptional communication skills, and comprehensive knowledge of Workforce Management (InforWFM). Experience with electronic scheduling in a unionized healthcare setting is preferred.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Expert knowledge of Environment for Scheduling Personnel (ESP) and Workforce Management systems. Demonstrated experience with electronic scheduling in a unionized healthcare environment. Familiarity with payroll processes and resolving timekeeping discrepancies. Strong understanding of collective agreements and scheduling policies. Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on professionalism and discretion.
Familiarity with Collective Agreements regarding scheduling provisions and department skillset/requirements. Experience with WFM systems. Familiarity with pulling reports in WFM and creating tracking systems.
