Description
Come join our team at the Willow Creek Continuing Care Centre, Claresholm AB in the Administrative Support IV role as a direct admin role for management. As well providing support at the 100-bed long term care site to all departments, residents and families. You will be responsible for the efficient flow of communication between health professionals, departments, residents and families while maintaining confidentiality of information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include (but not limited to) reception, answering phone calls and switchboard, greeting and directing visitors, residents of LTC and health professionals. As well as scheduling, payroll, and booking of rooms/ education and staff on site. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the site and all departments. Please note this position is in Claresholm, approximately 100km South of Calgary city limits and 80 km North of Lethbridge.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. course(s) in business administration, medical office assistant), or other related fields. Diploma or certificate from a recognized office or secretarial administrative program, experience with medical terminology. Minimum 2 years' experience in a health care environment; preferably at an Admin IV level and in a continuing care setting. Experience with AHS technology and systems including e-people and iexpense. Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Payroll experience and data entry experience. The successful candidate will have effective time management and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner and is goal oriented. You will be customer service focused, have well developed communication skills, and are confident with a positive attitude. You will also have clear enunciation over the telephone and will provide a respectful, caring, professional service. The candidate must possess excellent formatting, grammar, syntax, and proofreading skills. You will also have accurate data entry skills with a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM. The ability to work in a discreet and confidential manner, be adaptable to changing situations, and have a commitment to working in a Team setting will be assets. Long term care and dementia experience is an asset. Experience with connect care (EMR). Scheduling experience Payroll experience.
