Description
The South Zone Primary Care, Public Health and Chronic Disease Management team is looking for a motivated and innovative person to join our team as an administrative assistant to the Director and the program. This key administrative assistant position reports to the Director and is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director, Managers, senior planners, and program administrative support staff across three programs. This position carries out administrative special projects and assists with portfolio communication within the South Zone, Provincially and with external stakeholders. The position will act as a resource to Managers and staff reporting to the Director by providing information regarding finance and budget/expenditure monitoring, human resource recruitment, and other administrative requests. In addition, this position serves as a resource, mentor and support to the other administrative assistants within the Portfolio to ensure consistent business practices throughout all of public health sites, Chronic Disease Management programs, and Primary Care program.
As an Administrative Support IV, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Some post-secondary education.
Strong organizational skills, flexibility and adaptability in dynamic work environment. Strong foundation with technology and software such as Outlook Office, SharePoint. Demonstrated self-starter, problem solver and critical thinker. Accountable to ensure targets are met with projects, special requests and action items.
Identifies, develops and support special projects and quality improvement initiatives. Proactively handles administrative matters to support the day-to-day operations of the portfolio, including confidential duties requiring understanding of organizational policies.
