Description
Main Reception is the focal entry point for all individuals entering the facility. The expectation is that all individuals are treated in a professional, courteous and respectful manner. The Main Reception staff are expected to be detail orientated, clear, and concise. Workload consists of telephone monitoring, security system monitoring, responding to requests for codes and updating activity and transportation. Knowledge of computers and systems including Connect Care and Netcare are essential. Quanum System would be beneficial. Display ability to work alone and deal with situations or issues arising. Must relay pertinent information to the ongoing shift in a clear and understandable language. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Excellent knowledge of Connect Care and have the role of Admitting/Registration Clerk with Referrals. Knowledge of the facility, codes, policies and procedures. Professional in conversation and adhere to ATIA and POPA regarding information disclosure. Detail Orientated as referrals are taken from outside agencies to be presented to physicians for potential admissions and information must be exact. Ability to page and announce emergencies as required via the Security System and Emergency Telephone Line. Updating the ATC calendar and transportation calendar to meet the needs of the units. Booking of drivers as requested by the units. Booking of cabs for the units as required. Must have the ability to multitask and respond to all requests in a professional manner. Must have at least three years' experience with the role of Admitting/Registration Clerk with Referrals. Knowledge of the Mental Health Act in regard to certification. Excellent communication skills and must have the ability to speak and comprehend the English language. Must be able to work independently and as a team.
