Description
Responsible to the Manager - Occupational Therapy Services and is responsible for overall clinic and/or program support. Provides general clerical support including preliminary screening, processing referrals, scheduling meetings and appointments, file management, data entry, word processing and follow-up phone calls. Provides assistance to clients, families, and clinical staff in person and on the phone. Works closely with other clerical and support staff as well as staff in other areas, e.g., Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Psychology, Social Work and Admitting. Assists with clinical projects or services and other related clerical duties including coverage for other clerical positions as required.
As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Previous related experience with customer service focus and in health care setting required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Must have effective interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to prioritize and organize work assignments with minimal direction. Must be able to tolerate prolonged sitting and various keyboarding tasks for 70-80% of the day.
Post-secondary training in office management preferred. Connect Care training and experience preferred.
