Reports to the manager of the Occupational Therapy Service. Responsible for overall clinic and/or program support for Pediatric Outpatients. Provides general clerical support including reception, scheduling appointments, patient admissions, preliminary screening, processing referrals, scheduling meetings and appointments for staff, file management, data entry, word processing, and follow-up phone calls. Provides assistance to clients, families, and clinical staff both in-person, and over the phone. Works closely with other clerical and support staff, as well as staff in other areas, e.g., Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Psychology, Social Work, and Admitting. Assists with clinical projects or services and other related clerical duties including coverage for other clerical positions as required.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Previous related experience with customer service focus and in a healthcare setting required. Previous experience with an electronic patient scheduler required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Must have interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to prioritize and organize work assignments with minimal direction. Must be able to tolerate prolonged sitting and various keyboarding tasks for 70-80% of the day.

Post-secondary training in office management preferred. Experience with Connect Care an asset.
