Under the general supervision of a NFS Supervisor, you will use your customer service, teamwork and organizational skills to: Follow established procedures to maintain patient information related to provision of meal service; prepare financial reports (if required); processes food preferences, food allergies, intolerances and meal tallies; process menus and/or tray tickets; effectively communicate with other departments on matters related to patient meals, snacks, nourishment supplies, and complete other clerical duties as required. This position may require you to be able to bend, lift, push, and pull items of up to 20lbs. The successful candidate will be able to: Work in a fast paced environment with speed and accuracy; Work under pressure in high stress situations; Demonstrate critical thinking skills and initiative; Communicates effectively in English with customers, patients, co-workers, and other hospital departments; Work as an effective, professional team member with a focus on exceptional patient and family centered care.

As an Administrative Support II, you will require administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

The role requires a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute with 98% accuracy and 130 keystrokes per minute with 95% accuracy, along with successful completion of basic math, typing, and diet‑terminology/guideline skills tests. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a healthcare food service environment and one year of customer service experience, demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English, and maintain professionalism and effectiveness when interacting with distressed or dissatisfied callers. The position involves spending up to 60% of the shift on the phone and up to 90% keyboarding, as well as tolerating extended periods of sitting, and may include bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling items up to 20 lbs. Applicants must be able to perform a variety of duties with limited supervision, follow through on issues and action plans, and use monitoring systems to ensure completion. Basic proficiency with Windows software (Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint Online) is required.

Preference will be given to candidates who have post‑secondary education in administrative assistant/clerical studies or a related field, along with basic proficiency in CBORD, Epic, RMID, and Formula Calculator.
