The Solutions Specialist - Leaves will be responsible for handling tickets and transactions pertaining to leaves of absence, while ensuring Customer Service Excellence is provided at every touch point.

The Solutions Specialist - Leaves will also support process changes and new initiatives and action request from the Lead Manager for team coaching & on the job training.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely resolution to employee inquiries and HR transactions.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure employees are customers are aware of processing time and progress.
  • Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating ownership of employee requests.
  • Exercise impeccable judgment, confidentiality and demonstrate a high degree of tact and discretion.
  • Investigate and provide resolution for escalated issues.
  • Prioritize time sensitive cases.
  • Maintain integrity of HR Centre of Excellence’s standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure KPIs are met by monitoring due dates and addressing challenges with the team manager.
  • Review audits, make corrections and / or seek assistance when applicable.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of college degree with relevant experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated customer-service orientation and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong relationship management, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Experience and knowledge of external and internal Leaves processes and policies, an asset.
  • Understanding of payroll and / or unionized environment, an asset.
  • Bilingual (French and English) written and spoken.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.

Conditions of Employment:
