We are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Occupational Health Nurse/Nurse Assistant to join our team on a contractual basis.
Scope:
The Occupational Health Service Department supports the safety critical mission of Air Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Perform non-pilot pre-employment medical examinations;
- Perform medical fitness for air travel examinations;
- Assist with annual pilot medical examinations;
- Replenish medical flight kits;
- Perform vaccinations;
- Assist in employee return-to-work clearances;
- Assist with emergency walk-ins at the clinic;
- Check Tempus and/or equivalent medical equipment, manage required paperwork and prepare for implementation.
Qualifications
- Current certificate of competence and licence to practice as a registered nurse (required to produce proof of registration with their professional order on an annual basis)
- Successful completion of the Occupational Health Nursing Diploma Program and or COHN Designate
- 3-5 years of Occupational Health Experience
- Experience in enipuncture, PFT, ECG udiometric testing
- All services to be performed at the Montreal (YUL) Clinic.
- Services shall be performed during business hours and weekends and could be modified to evening hours, as needed.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both oral and written) required.
- Computer proficiency
- Travel required
- Occasional shift work
Conditions of Employment:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the country of interest at the time any offer of employment is made and are responsible for obtaining any required work permits, visas, or other authorizations necessary for employment. Prior to their start date, candidates will also need to provide proof of their eligibility to work in the country of interest.
