Relevant du charg de projet, le surintendant est responsable de veiller ce que les projets soient raliss dans les dlais prvus, conformment aux contrats et aux estimations de cots, et que tous les travaux soient effectus en toute scurit et selon les normes de qualit et de finition acceptables. Le surintendant est galement responsable de la gestion des oprations quotidiennes sur le chantier.
Responsabilits principales
Assurer la planification et l'ordonnancement gnraux afin de garantir la ralisation des projets dans les dlais et le budget.
Suivre l'avancement global des projets et prendre les mesures correctives ncessaires.
Coordonner et superviser les trois fonctions principales : administration, planification et construction.
Reprsenter l'entreprise auprs du client.
Veiller ce que le client soit inform de tous les travaux supplmentaires et rclamations, et que les sous-traitants soient informs des refacturations.
S'assurer de la mise jour rgulire des contrats et de l'intgration des avenants.
Mettre en uvre et suivre les politiques de scurit et d'environnement ainsi que les plans de contrle qualit de l'entreprise.
Garantir la conformit de toutes les fonctions et oprations sur le chantier avec la lgislation locale.
Diriger et maintenir la discipline et la motivation du personnel du projet.
Veiller au respect des politiques de l'entreprise et des procdures du projet.
Garantir la conformit aux conventions collectives.
Examiner et approuver les rapports de cots du projet et s'assurer de l'exactitude et de l'actualit des prvisions de rentabilit.
Participer au processus d'appel d'offres et effectuer toute autre tche requise.
Exigences Connaissances et exprience
Formation technique et au moins cinq ans d'exprience dans le secteur de la construction
Exprience dans le secteur des travaux publics; dans le domaine lectrique un atout.
Matrise des outils informatiques, notamment la suite MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellentes aptitudes relationnelles et de communication
Solides connaissances des techniques, pratiques et principes fondamentaux de la construction
Exprience en gestion de contrats et de sous-traitance
Capacit tablir et maintenir des relations efficaces et travailler en quipe
Sens de l'organisation et gestion du temps
Permis de conduire valide
Mobilit requise pour se dplacer sur les chantiers
Position Overview

Reporting to the Project Manager the Superintendent is responsible to ensure that projects are completed on schedule in compliance with the contracts and the job cost estimates and all the work is completed safely to acceptable standards of quality and workmanship. The Superintendent is also responsible for the management of day-to-day operations in the yard.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall planning and scheduling to ensure that projects are constructed in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Monitors the overall progress of the projects and takes corrective action where necessary
- Coordinates and monitors the three main functions Administration, Scheduling and Construction
- Represents the Company with the owner
- Ensure that the owner is being advised of all extra work and claims and that subcontractors are being advised of back charges
- Ensure that contracts are kept current and being updated with change orders on a regular basis
- Responsible for implementing and monitoring of the Companys Safety and Environment Policies and QC Plans
- Ensures that all functions and operations on the job are following local legislative requirements
- Directs and maintains discipline and morale of the project staff
- Ensures that Company policies and project procedures are being adhered to
- Ensures compliance with union agreements, if applicable
- Reviews and provides approval of project cost reports and ensures projected job profits are accurate and current
- Assists in bid process and perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Technical school background and at least ten (10) years of construction experience
- Experience in the Utility Contracting Industry; electrical experience is an asset
- Working computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques, practices, and fundamentals
- Experience with contract and subcontract management
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work within a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management
- Maintain valid drivers license
- Ability to travel within site locations
