THE ROLE: 

In the rapidly expanding world of AI and HPC, solid system level integration and validation becomes paramount. Our DCGPU solutions, including APUs and GPUs, demand rigorous testing for optimum performance and reliability.  In this role, you will be a key leader in the Systems Design Engineering team managing a team of validation engineers.

THE PERSON: 

The right candidate will have solid background in SoC/platform/system level validation including system level stress, system level performance, system level issue debugs as well as test automation.  Experience in creating and driving execution of test plans is critical along with a proven track record of managing high performing software and hardware engineers.  Must possess the ability to coordinate and lead validation activities, influence process changes within peer teams, and have strong analytical skills. Out of box critical thinking and recognition and drive of process improvements are a must. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage a team of validation and automation engineers that work directly on the execution of Instinct product based system validation plans
  • Define, plan and drive project test plans – ensure coordination with other validation and cross functional teams in terms of scope and alignment on deliverables and schedules
  • Bring system validation experience that will identify and plan for high risk test coverage early in the test cycle
  • Develop and maintain program schedules by considering engineering and equipment resources, dependency schedules, test scope, etc.
  • Work effectively with stakeholders outside of the direct organization as well as external vendors to ensure deliverables are clear, aligned and of highest quality
  • Ability to recruit and hire key talent candidates for a growth organization
  • Ability to coach, mentor and develop technical talent within the team
  • Ability to recognize areas of improvement and helping to drive recommendations for organizational initiatives
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with direct reports as well as management.  Ability to clearly present plans, status and escalate for support.

 PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Technical experience in SoC emulation/validation, system level validation, high speed IO validation, hardware/software integration validation, and system level test automation
  • Technical experience desired in PCIe protocol, board level design concepts, system management and telemetry, AI/ML workloads and performance
  • Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management
  • Ability to define plans, map out schedules and resource needs, and recruit the necessary resources to execute on plans 
  • Ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items with follow-up
  • Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders
  • Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times. 
  • Engineering background with 10+ years industry experience preferred with direct team management experience

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
