THE ROLE: 

AMD is seeking a specialized Software Engineer who is passionate about optimizing the performance of key applications and benchmarks. In this role, you will be part of a core team of highly skilled industry experts, working hands-on with the latest hardware and software technologies.

 

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate is a passionate software engineer with strong problem-solving skills and the leadership ability to drive complex technical issues to resolution. You should be an effective communicator who thrives in cross-functional team environments.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Collaborate with AMD architecture teams to influence and improve future product designs
  • Support driver development for existing and next-generation Radeon GPUs
  • Analyze and debug critical low-level driver, hardware, and OS issues
  • Participate in ASIC and hardware bring-up activities
  • Work on performance optimization for AAA PC games
  • Build and maintain strong technical relationships with internal teams and external partners

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

  • Proficient in object-oriented programming with C/C++
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux OS development
  • Familiar with software development tools and workflows (e.g., debuggers, GitHub, profilers)
  • General understanding of 3D graphics pipelines and PC system architecture is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
