Job Description

The ODM Material Manager owns the end-to-end material readiness and supply continuity relationship with assigned ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) partners. Acting as the single point of accountability for production execution across server and infrastructure hardware programs, this role drives MRP alignment, manages Commit-to-Build (CTB) cycles, and ensures on-time delivery to global data center buildout schedules. The role requires daily cross-functional coordination and a strong ability to translate material risks into actionable recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for material readiness, supply continuity, and production execution across assigned ODM partners for server and infrastructure hardware programs.

  • Drive MRP (Material Requirements Planning) alignment with ODM planning and procurement teams to ensure build plans are supported by available material.

  • Manage Commit-to-Build (CTB) cycles, tracking material availability against production build plans and escalating gating components in a timely manner.

  • Ensure on-time delivery to global data center buildout schedules by proactively identifying and resolving material constraints.

  • Manage complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) in a high-volume manufacturing environment, working closely with ODM planning and procurement teams.

  • Translate material risks into clear, actionable recovery plans and communicate status concisely to senior leadership.

  • Interface daily with commodity managers, NPI teams, logistics, PO management, and engineering teams to resolve supply constraints.

  • Monitor ODM partner performance against commitments and hold partners accountable to agreed-upon supply and delivery targets.

  • Support NPI transitions and production ramps by ensuring material readiness milestones are met at each program phase gate.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in material management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations within a high-volume hardware or technology environment.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience managing BOMs and working within MRP/ERP systems in a production or manufacturing context.

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with ODM or EMS partners in a supply chain or material management capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in ODM/EMS material management within hyperscale data center, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale server manufacturing environments.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Deep understanding of Commit-to-Build (CTB) processes and production execution cycles in high-volume hardware manufacturing.

  • Experience managing material availability across complex, multi-tier BOMs for server or infrastructure hardware programs.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with demonstrated ability to coordinate across commodity management, NPI, logistics, PO management, and engineering teams.

  • Proven ability to navigate conflict, drive accountability with external partners, and communicate supply status clearly to leadership.

  • Experience supporting NPI program transitions and production ramp milestones.

  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics tools.
