The Work

  • Design and configure PLC, HMI, and DCS systems with technical mentorship and guidance
  • Plan and manage time, budget, and deliverables for assigned responsibilities
  • Participate in control philosophy development, P&ID reviews, HAZOP sessions, and other engineering design reviews
  • Prepare high‑quality documentation and detailed engineering work packages
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing automation solutions
  • Perform remote and on‑site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Deliver solutions that maintain 100% customer satisfaction
  • Work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

Here’s what you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technology diploma
  • Hands‑on expertise with GE (now Emerson) RX3i PLC systems, including configuration, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning
  • Experience with HMI platforms such as FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Citect, iFix or comparable tools
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, or similar
  • Proficiency with software tools including MS Office; experience with SQL, VBScript, or Microsoft Access is an asset
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while meeting daily deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% with a valid driver’s license
  • Experience in one or more of the following industries is an asset: Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Mining, Forestry, Wastewater, Water, Food & Beverage

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to DCS platforms such as DeltaV, Honeywell, or ABB 800xA

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location,
role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time
employment, for roles that may be hired as set forth below.
