Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Human Resources Advisor to join our team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys variety and thrives in a collaborative environment. In addition to providing broad HR generalist support, you will play a key role in supporting our Recruitment & Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) initiatives .

Responsibilities

Lead External Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process- sourcing, screening, interviewing

  • Design and deliver onboarding and orientation programs

Champion Workplace Safety

  • Collaborate with the OHS team to implement health and safety programs

  • Help monitor compliance, support incident investigations, and maintain accurate safety records

  • Promote wellness and safety through training and awareness initiatives

Drive Engagement & Growth

  • Contribute to HR communications and employee recognition programs

  • Participate in projects that improve HR and OHS processes and systems

  • Guide leaders on HR policies, procedures, and collective agreement s

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 3+ years of HR experience (unionized environment preferred).

  • Knowledge of HR best practices and occupational health and safety standards.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills .

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy (Microsoft Office, HRIS).

  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License.

We Offer

This is a temporary position with an end date of June 30, 2026. The salary range for this position is $ 81,052-101,315 per year with a comprehensive benefits package and Municipal Pension Plan contributions.
