What is the opportunity?

RBC Clear, the new RBC Capital Markets US cash management platform, has undertaken a green field project which built a new capability to serve corporate clients. The primary function of this role is to help build and manage credit risk processes, monitor activity and provide insights & analysis to our teams leadership and business units so that we can manage the various credit and credit adjacent streams of our program.

The Associate, Credit Products & Governance will be responsible for the day to day credit processes, assisting in credit system development efforts and working closely with our partners to monitor and manage all credit related work within RBC Clear. The candidate will work with our Functional partners across RBC to help create, monitor and maintain a new set of credit capabilities.

What will you do?

RBC Capital Markets competes in a fast paced, highly technical and challenging space. With RBC Clears mandate and mission, there is an opportunity to create net new capabilities, reimagine existing processes and transform the way credit is extended and managed across Capital Markets.

The Associate, Credit Products & Governance will be impactful in various delivery and strategic areas related to RBC Clear, including but not limited to:

  • Define and design the requirements that will enable an exceptional digital client experience for all overdraft and credit related capabilities within RBC Clear.
  • Partner with stakeholders (Account Management, Corporate Banking, Risk Management) to facilitate client onboarding to RBC Clears credit-related products which includes conducting the initial preliminary credit assessment for RBC Clear.
  • Develop robust understanding and analytics for monitoring, appropriate escalations, and optimizing transactional limits for the client.
  • Provide insights on overall credit delivery program health, working closely with senior executives to measure and track progress.
  • Work closely with our business units and technology partners in order to gather requirements and translate them into development points in an Agile way.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

  • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of credit risk, product management, digital delivery, technology or consulting experience
  • Candidates experience should demonstrate the ability to build complex digital capabilities across a highly regulated environment
  • Experience with the pressure of deadlines and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or a technical field

Nice to have

  • You embrace new experiences with curiosity, adaptability, and a sense of adventure.
  • You are relentlessly useful and enjoy working with a mixed group of talented individuals and teams that span many levels and many specializations
  • Working knowledge of Python and various data libraries a plus but not required
  • Agile delivery, scrum master or other product development experience
