SD leverages the best people to conduct in-depth consumer research, design extraordinary customer experiences, build memorable and unique brands and effective marketing campaigns, transforming how consumers experience our Ventures and RBC.What is the opportunity?The SD team is hiring a Visual Design Intern to join the creative team. This person will be asked to own, design and refine brand identity assets, develop marketing assets, and generate creative solutions in support of multiple ventures.What will you do?Conceptualize and create brand identities, including logos, colour palettes, typography, etcConceptualize and create marketing assets, including websites, digital and social campaigns, digital publications, videos, and other marketing materialDevelop and/or leverage existing brand guidelines to prepare and deliver assetsWork closely and collaboratively with RBCx and the ventures product and marketing teamsCollaborate with art directors, designers, production artists, and writers to execute campaigns and digital solutionsEffectively rationalize and communicate ideas and designsMust HavesA portfolio that demonstrates your design skills and conceptual thinkingStrong aesthetic skills and a demonstration of graphic design core principles with respect to typography, layout/composition, grid systems, colour, photography, iconography, etc.Ability to source authentic, compelling, candid, stock photographyExperience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and similar toolsAbility to embrace feedback and continue to iterate and improve your workAbility to communicate and present ideas and rationalesValue open communication and working on a small and transparent teamNice-to-HavesDemonstrated ability to deliver well-thought-out design recommendationsExperience working in fast paced, experimental or start-up environmentsExperience in Banking or Financial ServicesAn understanding of Accessibility and Inclusive Design practices.Understanding of brand strategy a bonusWhats in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
