The Opportunity

 

Reporting to the Director, Global Marketing, Financial Services, and serving the Global Sector Head of Banking & Capital Markets, this role will be a key member of the Global Clients and Markets Sector & Segments Marketing team.

 

As a Global Marketing Manager, Banking & Capital Markets at KPMG, you will be responsible for leading and executing sector-focused marketing campaigns on a global scale. This pivotal role entails developing strategic marketing plans, creating impactful content to support sector growth, coordinating with various teams and member firms, and overseeing the implementation of innovative marketing programs tailored to specific sectors.


What you will do

  • Assist the Senior Director, Global Head of Sector and Segment Marketing and Director, Global Marketing, Financial Services, in developing and executing sector-led global marketing campaigns. Participate in marketing campaign planning with a focus on sector-specific market positioning, messaging, and customization strategies.
  • Develop marketing plans and overarching positioning for sector vertical(s), collaborating with sector heads to align business and marketing plans. Focus on hero thought leadership, marquee events, competitive landscape, and fields of play.
  • Utilize and interpret market research conducted by the global team to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning. Apply this insight to inform and guide the strategic content development for sector vertical(s).
  • Develop and execute promotional strategies, such as social media and targeted email campaigns, aimed at empowering local member firms to effectively generate leads through these events. 
  • Design and manage marketing project schedules, promoting hero, hub, and heartbeat content across various channels.
  • Engage with global sector leaders, global priority accounts and member firms, incorporating KPMG case studies, client stories, and people stories into sector programs.
  • Prepare and distribute content toolkits to member firms, ensuring high quality, timely distribution, and ease of customization.
  • Manage monthly and annual budgets, analyzing variances and highlighting significant issues to leadership.
  • Track and aim for a targeted utilization rate of global marketing materials by member firms.
  • Track and measure the impact and effectiveness of global content and events.

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum five years of combined marketing and business experience; experience in professional services or similar corporate environment preferred.
  • Experience developing compelling value propositions for services/campaigns and creating integrated issue-based platforms for promoting relationships and generating revenue.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to get buy-in and support for projects from diverse and often widespread stakeholders. Experience of the above in a global, matrix context would be very advantageous.
  • Experience developing multi-platform campaigns with a focus on social media and digital channels.
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree preferably in marketing related qualifications. Post graduate qualifications in a marketing related discipline is desirable.
  • Confident and assertive with excellent influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Strong writing skills and a good understanding of how to make materials effective online.
