Job DescriptionWork Arrangement: This role is categorized as remote. We are looking for a focused and hands-on people leader with a passion for automation to take extreme ownership of the developer experience, CI/CD process, and build/release pipelines for our vehicle data systems. As the DevEx lead, you will develop and implement a vision towards a joyful developer experience in which our engineers can deliver quality software at high velocity. You will build a team that will be responsible for all aspects of the developer experience from tooling to testing to deployment. What You’ll Do:Design, implement, and manage CI/CD processes and build/release pipelines. Engage with engineers and relentlessly advocate for them; discover areas of friction and drive change to improve developer joy Ensure the reliability and scalability of the software development lifecycle. Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability. Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources. Manage end-to-end availability of build automation, HIL benches, and test environments. Mentor and guide the professional and technical development of your team members. Lead and grow a team of software engineers focused on improving the developer experience Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred or related field12+ years of experience in software engineering, tooling, and automation 5+ years of experience in managing engineers Extensive experience building developer tools, CI/CD pipelines (infrastructure, containers, and apps), and build/release pipelines (C++ libraries, firmware) Experience supporting diverse development communities that publish a variety of artifacts inclusive of libraries/SDKs, embedded firmware (C++, Rust), infrastructure as code (Terraform), containerized apps (Java, Kotlin), data pipelines (python) and operational tools Experience hiring top talent, building diverse and inclusive teams, foster a culture of healthy work environment that is both supportive and challenging A genuine enjoyment of learning about how processes work and developing a vision to improve them Ability to work well cross-functionally, and navigate through ambiguity Ability to think rigorously and make hard decisions and tradeoffs Extreme customer focus, committed to investing in partnerships with other engineering teams to establish empathy and understand their use-cases Experience with hardware in loop (HIL) test environments preferred Willingness and ability to travel to US based on job requirementsCompensationThe compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable provincial laws.
