Job Summary

The Ministry of Health has overall responsibility for ensuring that quality, appropriate, cost-effective, and timely health services are available to all British Columbians. Within the Ministry, the Hospital and Provincial Health Services (HPHS) Division leads service transformation across the health sector. Bringing together key mandated initiatives and specialized services for priority populations to add enhanced value and focus for health sector areas requiring substantive change.

The successful applicant will provide a variety of office administrative, secretarial, and financial support services for the branch and coordinate the day-to-day priorities of the manager, including providing liaison with ministry executive offices.

Job Requirements:

  • Secondary School graduation (Dogwood, GED) and 6 months related experience; OR
  • Evergreen and 1-year related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


Related experience includes the following:

  • Experience working in an office setting.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office computer programs (such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience managing an electronic calendar (booking meetings and appointments).
  • Experience booking/making travel arrangements.
  • Experience with ARCS/ORCS.
  • Experience with eApprovals.
  • Experience with CLIFF.
  • Preference may be given to applicants who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit)

This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work 5 or more days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
