Job Summary

The Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB), under the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, oversees the regulation and licensing of liquor and cannabis establishments and events. The Planning and Analytics Unit undertakes and manages work to fix or enhance public and business-facing systems. The Programmer Analyst position provides essential expertise for the Planning and Analytics Unit, developing and maintaining ministry applications and making changes and enhancements through various phases of the application development lifecycle.

This role will develop and maintain ministry applications and make changes and enhancements through various phases of the application development lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in the computer science field or equivalent.
  • Experience in structured and object-oriented programming in a complex rules-based environment using a broad number of application development tools.


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience working on an agile team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CM applications.
  • Experience with complex projects with tight deadlines, multiple partners, and competing priorities.
