Woodstock and District Developmental Services (WDDS), a non-profit charitable organization, has been providing opportunities and supports for people living with a developmental disability and their families in Oxford County since 1959. WDDS offers a wide range of individualized supports and services including employment, day services, accommodation, respite, family support, education and learning opportunities.

Career management

WDDS provides exciting employment, advancement and leadership development opportunities.  All new employees are provided with an extensive 75 hour orientation consisting of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI), Behavioural supports, trauma and mental health, Medication administration and Power of your Role training, as well as on-site orientation.  WDDS is committed to succession planning and hiring internally for our full-time and management positions.

Staff will provide direct and indirect supports to people who access the services of WDDS. Staff will
promote person directed thinking by continuously looking for opportunities for people to pursue and
expand their personal goals, encourage personal growth, community inclusion and help people
create meaningful relationships of their choice.
