Located in La Pocatière, Novika is a research and technology transfer center that has been synonymous with technological innovation for 40 years. Backed by high-level expertise and a constantly updated research infrastructure, the team works to develop the products and processes of its industrial partners in order to improve their competitiveness. Projects carried out for companies cover industrial physics applications and related fields such as electronics, automation, software development, acoustics, laser processes and combustion.

Novika undertakes applied research, development and transfer mandates in the following areas:

• the observation, measurement, understanding and control of physical phenomena;
• the design of mechanic, electric, electronic, electromechanical and software products;
• the design and manufacture of complex automated production equipment;
• the development of industrial processes using lasers;
• standard or customized testing.
